IRINS - FACULTY PROFILE

IRINS is web-based Research Information Management (RIM) service developed by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre. The portal facilitates the academic, R&D organisations and faculty members, scientists to collect, curate and showcase the scholarly communication activities and provide an opportunity to create the scholarly network. The IRINS is available as free software-as-service to the academic and R&D organisations in India.

The IRINS would support to integrate the existing research management system such as HR system, course management, grant management system, institutional repository, open and commercial citation databases, scholarly publishers, etc. It has integrated with academic identity such as ORCID ID, ScopusID, Research ID, Microsoft Academic ID, Google Scholar ID for ingesting the scholarly publication from various sources.

ABOUT COLLEGE

Fatima College (Autonomous), Mary Land, Madurai, is a Post Graduate and Research Institution form Women affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. It is a Catholic minority Institution, established and run by the sisters of St. Joseph’s Society of Lyons (of the Congregation of the of St. Joseph of Lyon, France). The College was started in St. Joseph’s Campus Madurai as a Second Grade College with 63 students in 1953. It was upgraded into a Post Graduate College in 1964; Autonomous in 1990 and a Research Institute in 2004. The College now offers 21 Undergraduate Programmes, 14 Postgraduate Programmes, 2 Professional Programmes and 6 Departments have become Research Centres. It has strength of 4062 Students, 199 Teaching Staff and 89 Non-Teaching Staff. It has strength of 4012 students. In 2021-2022 NAAC re-accredited the college with ‘A++’ Grade with CGPA of 3.61 on a 4-point scale.
